Impact of Technology on youth

are technology make people lazy or not?

@ By Noman | Youth Writer & Social Observer

In an age where digital devices dominate our daily lives, the impact of technology on youth has become one of the most discussed topics. While some argue that technology empowers and educates, others believe it promotes laziness and dependency. This article presents both sides of the debate, encouraging readers to reflect on how we use the powerful tools at our fingertips.

---

Argument 1: Technology is Making People Lazy

Technology, while undeniably helpful, has become a comfort trap for many. Tasks that once required physical effort are now done with a click or command. People rely on navigation instead of learning routes, use voice assistants for simple tasks, and consume endless content online.

Youth today are often seen glued to their screens — scrolling, gaming, binge-watching — rather than engaging in productive or creative activities. This dependence not only reduces physical activity but also shrinks attention spans and real-world social interactions.

In essence, when used passively, technology becomes a tool of laziness, replacing mental and physical effort with instant gratification.

Argument 2: Technology is Making People Smarter and More Efficient

On the other hand, technology is one of the greatest tools of empowerment ever created.

For the youth, it opens doors to unlimited learning — coding platforms, digital classrooms, online courses, YouTube tutorials, books, religious education, and creative software. With minimal resources, anyone can learn a new language, build a startup, or become a skilled designer or programmer.

Unlike traditional teaching methods, technology teaches with patience. It doesn’t taunt, judge, or get tired. It allows people to learn at their own pace, based on interest and ability.

Visionaries like Bill Gates, Elon Musk, and Jeff Bezos didn’t use technology to waste time — they used it to build the future. The key difference lies in the mindset of the user.

The Final Verdict: Mindset Matters More Than Machines

Both sides of the debate make valid points. While it's true that technology is misused by many, it's also a fact that it empowers countless others.

The core issue is not the device, but the discipline.
It’s not technology that makes people lazy — it’s how they choose to use it.

If guided well, today’s youth can use tech as a ladder to success rather than a seat of comfort.

Conclusion

Technology is a double-edged sword. In the hands of a mindful individual, it becomes a tool of progress and innovation. In the hands of the careless, it becomes a distraction and a drain on time.

As a society, we must educate our youth not just on how to use technology, but why and when to use it — making sure it serves them, not enslaves them.

UNSPOKEN TRUTH ABOUT UNEMPLOYMENT

The Unspoken Truth Behind Unemployment in India @By Noman | Youth Writer & Social Observer India is a land of potential—but also of paradox. In a country of 140 crore people, we proudly announce startup schemes, youth summits, and digital missions. Yet, the streets echo with a silent crisis: Unemployment. But who’s really responsible? Let’s stop blaming the population. Let’s start talking about misgovernance. A System Designed to Fail Its Youth Our education system is a 70-year-old blueprint, designed during colonial rule to create clerks—not creators. Today, lakhs of students graduate with degrees but no direction. They memorize, they repeat, they pass. But they don’t build, innovate, or lead. Why? Because our system never taught them how. The Business of Taxing Dreams India speaks of entrepreneurship, yet GST policies choke small businesses. Government schemes like Startup India rarely reach ground-level youth. Loans are denied on silly technical grounds. Those who dream of...
